Design Drinking: Tim Walker

Join us Thursday, January 17th, 6 PM at Cannibal & Craft for Design Drinking! This month’s Design Drinking will feature guest speaker Tim Walker, co-partner and creative director of DOXA. Tim is founding President on AIGA Northwest Arkansas (2016–2018) and currently serves as an invaluable advisory board member. As usual, AIGA members will get their first drink free!

Love and Design: Perspective on Life and Work
With the work of DOXA as the context, Tim will talk about important lessons learned from a 35-year career in design.

Bio:
In addition to being a past president of AIGA Northwest Arkansas, Tim Walker is the founder, co-principal and creative director of DOXA, a Fayetteville, Arkansas based brand and communication design firm serving a broad range of clients regionally and nationally. The company’s work includes brand design, identity, collateral, publication design, and digital media. DOXA’s client list includes a diverse group of corporate, non-profit, higher education, healthcare, and arts related organizations.

Tim’s work has been recognized by inclusion in Communication Arts Design Annual, Print Regional Design Annual, HOW, The Society of Publication Designers Annual, Logo Lounge, and numerous other client-specific awards programs such as CASE and the Arkansas Hospital Association.

Tim is a current advisory board member of AIGA Northwest Arkansas and has served on the advisory boards of The University of Arkansas School of Art and the Fay Jones School of Architecture & Design.

Tim is a native Arkansan and his professional background before establishing his own company included work in both advertising and design, as well as serving as creative director for the University of Arkansas’ Office of University relations. In 1992, he founded Tim Walker Design. In 2003, the company was renamed DOXA.
