Bring your favorite pen (and plant if available), Caite Mae Ramos will teach how to translate the natural world onto a 2-D plane. For this workshop, we’ll be utilizing plants to learn traditional methods of drawing, plus techniques Caite has learned along the way. By studying nature, we can learn structure, pattern, form, and many and other crucial elements involved in creating; especially the power hidden in the insignificant details. For those that prefer, digital tablets can be used instead of pens. If you are hungry for a challenge before or after the workshop, participate in Inktober’s Instagram daily challenge.
Caite Mae Ramos is a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts and Master Gardener. She enjoys collecting epiphytic plants, looking at things for too long, and being with her rabbit Egg Bun.
