Town Hall & Board Retreat Recap
We recently held our first annual Town Hall meeting where we asked our community for feedback on AIGA Northwest Arkansas’s inaugural year and collectively developed ideas for 2018 programming. We can’t tell you how pleased we are with the turnout from longtime members and first-timers alike! Thanks to the dedicated NWA design community we left that meeting with lots of good feedback and new ideas for the future of the chapter.

Two days later, we held our annual board retreat to process the feedback using design thinking methods, plan our upcoming year of programming, and refocus on the three pillars of the AIGA mission: “AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force.” We took care to look at that mission and all potential programming from the vantage point of our members in their various career stages and disciplines. It was a long day, but a very productive one.

“AIGA advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force.”

We’ve asked for feedback and now it’s our job as the AIGA Northwest Arkansas board to deliver. Please stay tuned in the coming months for updates, volunteers opportunities, and a complete event programming timeline.

Building a chapter is very much a continuous process. If there’s ever any way you think we can improve please ask any of our board. We are always seeking your feedback, not just at our formal Town Hall meeting.
